Dodd Fell Hill (668m)

Dodd Fell Hill (668m) & Drumaldrace (614m)

12 mile route from Hawes heading up onto Drumaldrace, the Roman Road and Dodd Fell Hill. A wonderful high level route with far-reaching views. The Yorkshire Three Peaks were clearly visible from Dodd Fell, although the broad summit dome is an energy-sapping mass of peat hags, bogs and tussock grass.

Rogan's Seat (672m) & Water Crag (668m)

Rogan's Seat (672m) & Water Crag (668m)

10 mile route from Keld, Upper Swaledale, taking in Rogan's Seat and Water Crag in the Yorkshire Dales. Some people have said that Rogan's Seat is the most boring fell in the country. It isn't. The views are extensive, with the main fell-tops of the Yorkshire Dales all visible including Buckden Pike, Great Whernside and Ingleborough. The vast expanse of moorland and peat hags are of interest. Further north, the summit of Water Crag is superb, with the North Pennines stretching away into the distance. A clear day is a must.
